What a great time of year! We are swamped with wonderful invitations from great friends! I am looking forward to spending time with loved ones this season. God has richly blessed us this year. It seems like yesterday we were celebrating the New Year! Wow, time flies when you're busy with life.
My prayer is that we savor each moment together this coming year. Family and friends are such a sweet gift from God. Taking the time to reconnect with friends will be our goal this year.
Our family's wish for you would be that you slow down and enjoy every moment of your life. Don't let the busy rush of everyday life cause you to miss the most precious moments.

Jacqueline's Eleventh Birthday

Our precious baby girl turned eleven today! She is growing up to be quite a beautiful young lady. We went shopping earlier this week with Grandma Shidemantle's excellent gift. (Thank you Grandama!) This shopping trip was quite an eye opener for me. I thought I was fairly fashionable, but learned better on this trip!! We picked up some "Rocket Dog" shoes. (Apparently they are in style. I had never heard of them! I'm getting OLD) She also picked out several beautiful outfits and gorgeous jewelry on our fun shopping spree.
Jackie was gifted with diamond earrings from her father! She is growing up so quickly. (I may have to borrow them from her!) What a precious milestone in her young life.....her first diamonds from her Daddy!! I don't even want to think about diamonds she will receive later in life. Boo Hoo!!!
I thank God every day for bringing our sweet girl into our life. God has truly blessed our family.

Book of the Month

Joel Osteen's new book is my book of the month. My mother called me telling me about this awesome pastor on television who has a new book out. She got it on CD so she could listen to it on her way to and from different destination. She LOVED it and sent me the money to go out and buy it! (She is always giving me the BEST tips.) I'll let you know what I think once I get into the book.

Happy 40th Birthday

Angel Turns FORTY!!

Our sweet husband, father, and friend turns 40 tomorrow! He is a precious man who loves his family more than life itself. He has always protected us and put in countless hours keeping this family up and running. This man is not afraid to cook, do laundry, load and unload the dishwasher, pay the bills, maintain the cars, and countless other responsibilities which I am happy to say are completed in a multi-tasking manner that would WOW even the military! :-) We love our Angel and pray that we have at least another 40 years with this awesome guy. God willing, we will live to a ripe old age together.

We had a wonderful time at the Pumpkin Patch and Petting Zoo! The kids found some very special new friends who are easily persuaded with a little bit of grain! It was the perfect weekend to go down on the farm!
